This is a competitive division that uses ASA certified umpires to call the games. Players new to town or moving into this division will be required to attend a tryout (everyone makes a team), and those returning will remain on the same team as last year. The players pitch themselves by utilizing windmill or underhand fast pitch. The time commitment for this division is usually 2 games a week and an occasional practice, lasting from 90 minutes to 2 hours. Practices will be scheduled by team coaches based on field availability. The season ends with a round robin tournament and championship game. An All Star team is voted by the coaches to participate in post season weekend tournament play. We usually play in 3 tournaments, 1 of which takes place in Charlton. Girls are required to attend at least 2 out of the 3 in order to qualify for the All Star team.
